Holger Laumann, a multi-instrumentalist who has participated in the works of numerous Danish artists since the 1960s as a session musician, released his debut album in 1978. In addition to original compositions, the album features covers of Sonny Rollins' calypso jazz classics and traditional arrangements, with extensive use of Latin percussion and steel drums. Showcasing a tropical jazz groove rich in Latin/Caribbean flavors, including salsa, Afro-Cuban, calypso, and reggae, the album exudes an infectious and robustly cheerful sound throughout.
