This is the latest installment in the "Tealightsound" series from Kyoto's long-established tea wholesaler Ujikoen, featuring music by Sugai Ken, a genius who transforms Japanese flavors and emotions into experimental music. The music is inspired by the soil of a tea plantation, the quiet madness of a coffee shop, the electrified cries of a forbidden species living in an abandoned tea garden, and the magical alteration of a famous text by Tamamitsu Murata, all of which seem to question the purity of the recipient. Enitokwa, Compuma feat. Ken Takehisa, Matsuo Ohno, and other musicians who have worked on the series so far have all been excellent, and this is another excellent work with Sugai Ken's unique spacing and eeriness.
