大自然との邂逅
Denon (Japan) 1979
GX-7104 (LP) 45rpm. w/obi(some light dirts), insert.
sleeve : EX+
media : EX/EX-(some slightly surface noises.)

This is a field recording album released in 1979 from Denon/Nippon Columbia's "PCM Field Sound Series". The late Ichiro Matsuura, a highly respected author of many field recordings and a contributor to scientific recording and research, took a large color VTR and an ultra-heavy PCM adapter into the woods and farm roads to record nature sounds, which were then cut at 45 rpm. Fuji, frogs in the countryside, bear-eaters in the forest, and insects in the grass, such as groundhogs and crickets, are all heard in the sound field with a three-dimensional sense of realism. In particular, the calls of frogs and crickets sound like minimalist electronic sounds. Compared to today's ultra-compact equipment made possible by the development of digital technology, a great deal of effort must have been expended in those days.
